Join the Bainbridge Island Park District at Blakely Harbor Park for a Volunteer Work Party, as they work to restore this beautiful space to a natural, native habitat. The Park District has been making a huge push to restore the park, removing a lot of invasive species and planting native plants. It looks different every day, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Volunteers will be removing English ivy, Spurge laurel, Himalayan blackberry and other invasive, non-native plant species at this party. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring those favorite clippers or gloves you have at home.

What better way to spend this National Day of Service than volunteering in one of your favorite Island parks? Volunteer hours will be available for students.  Parking is available in a small lot off Country Club Rd or off Blakely Ave NE at the intersection of 3T Rd NE. Please meet at the meadow near the intersection of Blakely Ave NE and Country Club Rd. If you arrive late, just join the group!

Thank you for helping keep our parks clean and healthy!
