Conservation Work Party

Where: Battle Point Park (NE Frey Ave Parking Area), 11299 Arrow Point Drive

When: Saturday, April 12 (2nd Saturday), 10:00a-12:00p

What:  April is Earth Month, and we are celebrating it through stewardship! Join the Park District and our partners for the first Saturday of volunteering at Battle Point Park this Earth Month to remove invasives such as English Ivy, Himalayan Blackberry, and Scotch Broom. We will have leather gloves and water to refill your reusable water bottles!

This activity would be more suitable for children ages six and up who are comfortable using some tools, walking off-trail on uneven surfaces, and potentially getting pricked by blackberry thorns.
