Tasty gourmet picnic boxes are available for this year’s Moritani Community Picnic, 4–6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4 (Labor Day) at Moritani Preserve.

Local band WHOZYAMAMA returns with their spicy brand of Cajun and Creole music in this end-of-summer celebration for the entire family.

New this year: Order a delicious, gourmet picnic box from island caterer Fig & Spice to benefit the Preserve!

Each picnic box for 1 includes:

• Naan bites with these fresh and tasty Mediterranean-style dips:
  — Labneh Dip with Garlic & Mint
  — Roasted Beet & Za’atar Hummus
  — Muhammara – Roasted Red Peppers, Walnuts and Pomegranate Molasses Dip
  —  Zucchini (‘tis the season!) Baba Ganoush with Tahini & Parsley
• Organic Tabbouleh Salad – Bulgar Wheat, Tomatoes, Scallions, Parsley, Mint, Garlic, Olive Oil, & Lemon Juice (12 oz container)
• Salted Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies (2)
• Choose from an assortment of Organic canned Kombucha or San Pellegrino sodas – pick up your boxed lunch, and then grab your choice of a delicious cold drink from a galvanized tub filled with ice & drink options

Picnic boxes are $40, with all proceeds benefiting the restoration and stewardship of beautiful Moritani Preserve.
