Conservation Work Party 

Where: Williams-Olson Park, 6200 Williams Lane 

When: Saturday, Dec. 11 (2nd Saturday), 10 a.m. to noon 

What:  Williams-Olson is a waterfront park along a sloping bluff with 4.8 acres of upland property, 8 acres of tideland, and 460’ of shoreline access.  Volunteers will help tackle ivy and some blackberry along a short trail through the wooded portion of the park.

A few more details…

What to bring:  We suggest volunteers wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, long pants, and work gloves. Please also bring your own water bottle if you’d like one. The Park District will provide any (sanitized) tools volunteers will need, but feel free to bring your favorite.

COVID-19 Requirements/Modifications:

  • All participants must
    • Register for each individual work party
    • Respond to a COVID questionnaire prior to participating in the event
  • If proof of full vaccination is provided, masks are not required. Proof of vaccination is a vaccination card or photo of a vaccination card provided to Park District staff at the start of the event
  • Please note these requirements may be updated at anytime

Volunteers Under 18: All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who can sign them into the event, or if not accompanied by an adult, they must bring a signed
