Enjoy an evening of fine food, beverage and Live Jazz with island vocalist Jess Henderson and Friends at Wing Point Country Club, a benefit to build the Strawberry Hill Bike Park.

The evening is 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 18 at Wing Point Country Club.

This is a fundraiser for the Bike Park project, and there will be an ask during the evening.

Henderson, acclaimed Bainbridge Island jazz vocalist (and avid mountain biker!), will be backed by her ensemble of Joe Rice (keyboard), James Dunlap (bass) and Ian Jones (sax and percussion). Expect a delightful set of jazz standards and favorites.

About Jess Henderson: ““A day without music is like… Just kidding, I have no idea.”  The T-shirt slogan above pretty much sums it up. This girl never stops singing. From early on she was performing in musicals, choirs, and vocal competitions, and then went on to study voice at Williams College and with a private teacher in Milan, Italy, followed by a graduate program at New England Conservatory.

Jess has recently been having a ball digging into jazz standards. She’s inspired by the freedom that comes from stretching rhythms and dancing around a melodic line. And there are just so many dang good melodies out there! Come out and have a listen! You’re guaranteed to smile as we raise funds to build Strawberry Hill Bike Park.
