Fort Ward Playground Celebration
Fort Ward Parade GroundCelebrate the new Fort Ward Playground at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 at the Parade Ground park. We’ll be planting two Garry oak trees as part of the dedication, and spreading the final layer of chips and mulch for the playground. Enjoy cider, cookies and lots of fun at this great afternoon in our neighborhood park.

Moritani Preserve Forest Restoration Walk
Moritani Preserve 542 Winslow Way W, Bainbridge Island, WAEnjoy a relaxed walk through Moritani Preserve to learn about forest management and restoration, 10 a.m. to noon Friday, March 22. The walk is guided by Lydia Roush, Parks Superintendent for the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District, Tom Marici with Dutchman Logging, and Ryan Schlecht from Silva Solutions. The event is free, but you can make a gift to support Moritani Preserve restoration with your reservation. There is no parking at Moritani Preserve, so please plan to park offsite and walk to the event. REGISTER TODAY

Mountain Bike Film Fest

Enjoy a collection of mountain bike films that showcase the impact trail building has on community and the joy of riding, and to get excited that this will all become a reality on Bainbridge Island! Raffle prizes, bike park swag, beer and refreshments are all part of the (all ages) party. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 advance and at the door.
