Celebrate the New Hidden Cove Dock, June 30
Just in time for swimmin’ season, with thanks for your support, the new Hidden Cove Dock is here!
Join the Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation and Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District as we celebrate this amazing new outdoor amenity at Hidden Cove Park, 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30. Light refreshments will be served.
Enjoy the new ADA-accessible overwater pier, ramp and dock floats in the park at 8588 Hidden Cove Road NE on the south side of Port Madison.
Hidden Cove Dock was constructed earlier this year with funding from the Park District, Washington State Recreation & Conservation Office and Aquatic Lands Enhancement Account, the Bainbridge Park District and private donors through the Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation.
Local businesses contributing to the project included Ace Hardware, Dr. TroynOkunami, Sage, Town & Country Markets, Westside Pizza. Fundraising efforts were boosted by the philanthropy effort of the Bainbridge High School Class of 2016.
The dock has already become a popular destination for local swimmers and paddleboarders, and other park visitors enjoying the views of picturesque Port Madison. You helped make this happen – THANK YOU!
See www.biparksfoundation.org for more information.
Hidden Cove dock supporters and neighbors – it’s finally here! The teams from Carlson Construction and Adam, Goldsworthy and Oak Surveyors made short work of the project, completing the installation of new pilings and floats inside a two-week window.
Hidden Cove Park promptly reopened for use, although an ADA pathway from the parking lot to the elevated pier is still being built. But by all means, go check out the new dock in the meantime!
Thanks for all your support and patience in bringing this ambitious project to fruition.
