BAINBRIDGE ISLAND – The area’s premier spring running event, the 4th Annual Trillium Trail Run, returns to Bainbridge Island Saturday, May 11.

Runners and walkers will enjoy a 10K/5K scenic wooded course from Battle Point Park, along the Forest to Sky Trail, and looping among the towering firs of the Grand Forest, in an event sponsored by the Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation.

Early-bird registration with course map for the competitive timed event is underway at www.biparksfoundation.org.Cost is $35 for the 10K run and $30 for the 5K walk, with all proceeds supporting trail enhancement projects on Bainbridge Island.

Early registration closes at midnight May 8, although runners can also register day of race beginning at 8:15 a.m. Day of race registration is $40 (10K) and $35 (5K).

Race packets, including timing chip-integrated bib, will be distributed the morning of the event. The race begins at 9:30 a.m.

New post-race highlights include live music by Seattle funk/soul band Mudjunket, with kombucha on tap and tasty snacks. Come for the race, stay for the fun!
