Leaving a legacy gift
Most legacy gifts require no immediate donation, with transfers taking place after your lifetime. You can always change your mind during your lifetime, and a gift in any amount is welcome and meaningful.
To name the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation in your will, here is sample language you can use:
“I give Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit legally incorporated in Washington State and located on Bainbridge Island, WA, the sum of $ ____________ (or ___% of my residuary estate) for general operating purposes” (or to a specific designation in keeping with our mission. Our tax identification number is: 91-1855049.
Gifts of Life Insurance
Life insurance policies pay upon the death of the insured to a named beneficiary, including charitable organizations charitable organization. You can name Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation as the beneficiary of a policy insuring your life, or transfer ownership of a fully paid policy.
Gifts of Real Estate
