Moritani Preserve Forest Restoration Walk

Enjoy a relaxed walk through Moritani Preserve to learn about forest management and restoration, 10 a.m. to noon Friday, March 29. The walk is guided by Lydia Roush, Parks Superintendent for the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District, Tom Marici with Dutchman Logging, and Ryan Schlecht from Silva Solutions. The event is free, but you can make a gift to support Moritani Preserve restoration with your reservation. There is no parking at Moritani Preserve, so please plan to park offsite and walk to the event. REGISTER TODAY

THANK YOU!  --- Enjoy an evening of fine food, beverage and Live Jazz with island vocalist Jess Henderson and Friends at Wing Point Country Club, a benefit to build the Strawberry Hill Bike Park. The evening is 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 18 at Wing Point Country Club. This is a fundraiser for the Bike Park project, and there will be an ask during the evening. Henderson, acclaimed Bainbridge Island jazz vocalist (and avid mountain biker!), will be backed by her ensemble of Joe Rice (keyboard), James Dunlap (bass) and Ian Jones (sax and percussion). Superpowers of Our Parks and Trails

Trillium Trail Run

Run for the trails! The Trillium Trail Run 10K/5K and Kids’ Fun Run returns to Bainbridge Island Saturday, May 11, a benefit to acquire, build and maintain new Bainbridge Island trails. Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic course from Battle Point Park, along the Forest to Sky Trail, looping among the great firs of the Grand Forest and over scenic Hilltop meadow. Kids can enjoy a FUN RUN as part of the morning activities.
