The evening is 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 18 at Wing Point Country Club. This is a fundraiser for the Bike Park project, and there will be an ask during the evening. Henderson, acclaimed Bainbridge Island jazz vocalist (and avid mountain biker!), will be backed by her ensemble of Joe Rice (keyboard), James Dunlap (bass) and Ian Jones (sax and percussion). Join us as Dr. Howard Frumkin presents “Superpowers of Our Parks and Trails,” a dynamic presentation for families and parents at 7 p.m. April 25 at the Bainbridge High School Theater. The event is co-sponsored by the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation and Bainbridge Youth Services. 

Run for the trails! The Trillium Trail Run 10K/5K and Kids’ Fun Run returns to Bainbridge Island Saturday, May 11, a benefit to acquire, build and maintain new Bainbridge Island trails. Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic course from Battle Point Park, along the Forest to Sky Trail, looping among the great firs of the Grand Forest and over scenic Hilltop meadow. Kids can enjoy a FUN RUN as part of the morning activities.

Work with the Park District's horticulture staff and the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation to maintain garden beds, an historic fruit orchard, edible perennials, and other historic plantings in this former homestead in the heart of downtown.

Enjoy an autumn walk and celebrate Bainbridge Island’s newest public trail through the Day Road Farm District, 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.  A ribbon cutting ceremony will mark the trail dedication at 4 p.m., hosted by the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, the City of Bainbridge Island and Bainbridge Metro Parks.
