Vibrant, active and abundant, by any measure our parks and trails are so full of life. Together, we’ve shared and celebrated that vitality season by season this past year.
Winter dedication of the new Arbor Trail affirmed the power of trails to – quite literally – connect neighborhoods and bring neighbors together. Spring welcomed the Sunny Hill to Nute’s Pond Trail, extending access to one of our most picturesque parks, and opening whole new avenues for healthy walks in the restorative peace of nature.
Summer saw the Strawberry Hill Bike Park open to acclaim, somehow bettering even our wildest hopes for a new hub of active recreation across skill levels and generations. The Foundation supported the Student Conservation Corps and Summer Trails Crew, ensuring that our natural spaces are ecologically healthy and inviting to all.
Along the way, we also saved the precious 39 acres of Grand Forest East. What an amazing year, indeed.
Now as the year closes and we enter the season of giving, inspire what comes next with a gift to the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation. Your support today makes possible all that’s ahead – new projects that expand access, deepen stewardship, and bring islanders together in community in the unique and meaningful ways that only our parks and trails can offer.
Our parks and trails are so full of life. Stay with us, as together we work to expand and enrich that life – vibrant and abundant for all – in the coming year.
