Initiative 2117 would end protections for our air, water, forests and farmland. The initiative would cut millions in funding for programs across the state that help make our communities less vulnerable to catastrophic wildfires while making our forests healthier – and that help local governments, private landowners, and communities prevent and prepare for fire in high-risk areas.

I-2117 would cut millions in funding for forest restoration and reforestation. It would also cut vital public programs that protect and restore endangered fish habitat across Washington state. These cuts would harm our natural ecosystem and salmon recovery, slow our economy, and limit recreational opportunities for Washingtonians.
