Farm Trail Dedication
October 25, 2024 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Enjoy an autumn walk and celebrate Bainbridge Island’s newest public trail through the Day Road Farm District, 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will mark the Farm Trail dedication at 4 p.m., hosted by the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, the City of Bainbridge Island and Bainbridge Metro Parks.
The Farm Trail runs from Day Road East to Lovgreen Road, along the west edge of the community farm district, pumpkin patch and historic agricultural lands.
Refreshments and kids activities are planned.
Limited event parking is available at the Grace Church upper lot off Day Road East, and at the Charles Place trailhead.
The Farm Trail is a partnership of the City of Bainbridge Island, Bainbridge Metro Parks, and the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation. The Park District built the trail under an agreement with the City. The Parks & Trails Foundation funded additional trail construction and plant restoration.
Grace Church and the Island School contributed trail easements that connect to the Farm Trail.
The Farm District trail system now connects to other trailheads east and south of the community farmlands, at Charles Place and Vista Place.
