We’re bringing the community together to preserve a place that connects us all.
Join the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, Bainbridge Island Land Trust, and the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District in preserving 39 acres at Grand Forest East.
Since its creation in 1991, the Grand Forest has been an icon of Bainbridge Island’s celebrated system of parks and trails, a unique and special place that unites us all in the very heart of the island.
Bainbridge Island loves the Grand Forest, essential to outdoor recreation, our sense of community and sense of place.
But 39 acres at Grand Forest East – a significant piece of what users have always experienced and understood to be part of the public park – has never been formally preserved. The Bainbridge Island School District is now selling the parcel. The time to preserve this property is now.
This parcel features quiet woodlands, important wildlife habitat, and popular trails maintained by the Park District and enjoyed by the community for more than 30 years. It is essential to the Grand Forest we know and love.
Join the community of hikers and walkers, runners, cyclists, horseback riders, birdwatchers and nature lovers who know and treasure this land to preserve the 39 acres at Grand Forest East.
The Grand Forest connects us all. Time is of the essence – give generously today!
